Hon Lam
Director of Studies
 

Hon Lam serves as the Director of Studies for the Business Management Department, Manchester International College. He has a BA(Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich, a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Policy from the School of Oriental and African Studies(University of London), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Royal Holloway (University of London). He received his MPhil from Hong Kong Baptist University where his research focused on the opportunity of utilising ‘third-culture kids’ in international management. He taught at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels in Hong Kong and London.

Hon also held key positions such as Senior Research Executive at a university and as South China Regional Manager in a management consultant company. He worked on several high-level international management research projects regarding expatriate executives and cross-cultural management, as well as providing leading multinationals, such as Bayer, IDEX, and Black & Decker, with management consultancy and training projects. His research interests include ethic-entrepreneurships, international management and cross-cultural management.

Tamara Dulayeva
UG Programme Manager
 

Tamara Dulayeva currently is working as the Undergraduate Programme Manager within the Business Management Department, the largest academic department at Manchester International College. She has a First Class Honours degree and MA in Law, HND with distinction in Tourism Management, Dance Teacher diploma and UK TEFL level 6. Her work experience includes research, management, teaching and marketing with a depth of international exposure working in Russia and the UK. She held key positions such as a lecturer of Law in Russia, project manager/researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University and corporate travel researcher at Egencia, Expedia Corporate Travel in the UK. In addition, she will be completing MBA next year.

     
Sheku Kakay
PG Programmes Manager
 

Sheku Kakay is a senior lecturer in Business Management at the Manchester International College, where he currently teaches Project Management and managing people in Organisations at the postgraduate Level and also doubles as the Programme Manager for Postgraduate Studies. Sheku is an experienced researcher, academic, management training consultant, planner and policy analyst with a profundity of knowledge in the Public and Private Sectors. He received a BSc (Hons) degree from the Njala University College, Sierra Leone; a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies, Holland; and an MSc and MBA from the University of Greenwich, UK.

Sheku has also worked as a Senior Lecturer and Assistant Head of Department at the Institute of Public Administration and Management, Sierra Leone; Senior Planning, policy analysis and budgeting officer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Sierra Leone; Managing Director, NEHKa Group, Sierra Leone; Managing Director, Square one, UK; Monitoring and Evaluation Practitioner, Action Contre La Faim, Sierra Leone; and consultant for ECOWAS, FAO, SAFECON, and SIERRATEL in several training and development projects.

Peter Harrison
Lecturer
 

Peter Harrison is a Chartered Quality Professional (Chartered Quality Institute) Organisational Psychologist specialising in Emotional Intelligence/ Quality Management and Leadership Training and Development. As an academic he has was visiting professor at University of Manchester, Adjunct Professor International University USA, and visiting professor at the International University Business Agriculture Technology Dacca. Peter has a PhD in Business Studies; MSc in Quality Management; MBA in Organisational Behaviour; PGCE in Education Training; and BSc Business Administration.

Peter is qualified to measure Emotional Intelligence and Implement Training Programmes to improve Emotional Intelligence and is also currently researching a second PhD at the University of Salford, Manchester: The Psychological Impact of Meditation on Emotional Intelligence.

     
Rasol Eskandari
Lecturer
 

Rasol Eskandari has achieved his PhD in Financial Management in 2010. He is currently a visiting researcher and part time lecturer at Bangor Business School. He is also a Part Qualified ACCA member.

Rasol has several years of work experience in financial services sector. He joined Manchester International College from Jan 2012 as a visiting lecturer and is teaching "Management, Control and Accountability for Financial Resources". Rasol’s teaching areas include: finance, accounting and management for undergraduate and post graduate courses and his research interest is bankruptcy prediction, corporate finance and corporate governance.

     
Intesar Mahmood
Lecturer
 

Intesar Sulieman Mahmood studies as a research student in Manchester Metropolitan University for four years. She has experience in research methods, communication skills, time management, critical thinking and teaching skills. She has recently finished and defended her PhD thesis on Scholarly Communication. She also holds a MA in Information Science

Intesar has taught research methods, electronic publishing and open access for six years. Her research interests include: electronic publishing, open access, and scientific communication, especially in developing countries, also internet access and its use in developing countries, and the ways in which the internet, communication technologies and other digital technologies can be used for development.

     
Precious Oseki
Lecturer
 

Precious Oseki is a lecturer in the Department of Business Management at Manchester International College. Where he currently teaches the Higher Diploma and Graduate Diploma courses in Business Management and co-teaches Strategic Business in Information Technology at the postgraduate level. He received a BA (Hons) from Ambrose Alli University, an MSc from the University of Salford and a PGCE from the University of Huddersfield. He is also a Chartered Member of Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).

Precious first academic position was at University of Salford as a paid mentor from 2007 to 2009 and has also taught in colleges across UK. Prior to his academic career, he worked at House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Nigeria; International Peace Corps; NEM Insurance Plc; and International Foundation for Peace and Anti-Corruption (IFPAC International). He has also worked as a consultant with United Nations Department on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC), Junior Chambers International (JCI), Federal Ministry of Woman Affairs and United States Agency on International Development (USAID).

     
Nadeeka Egalla
Lecturer
 

Nadeeka Egalla is an experienced Lecturer in Information Systems and her teaching interests includes Management Information Systems, Web Designing, Database Management Systems, Mathematics, Lean Management and IS/IT Change Management. Her research interests are on Lean Management and Information Systems, and her most recent research was based on Lean Management in developing countries. She obtained her first degree in Physical Science (Sri Lanka) and an Msc in Management Information Systems from Coventry University (U.K). She has achieved Professional Qualifications from the British Computer Society (BCS). Her academic career is complemented by two years of industrial experience in information systems/information technology and held merchandising and administrative positions in various industry settings.

Satinder Kaur
Lecturer
 

Satinder Kaur is a lecturer in the Business Management Department at Manchester International College, where she currently teaches undergraduate courses in business and management courses. She received her Masters in Management from University of Salford, and currently working towards PTLLS. From 2008 to 2009, she taught in India at RIMT Institute of Engineering and Management and from 2010 to 2011 worked as a college tutor in Manchester. Prior to her career in academic she worked with HCL technologies, India as a technical analyst.

     
Adeniran Titilope Easy
Lecturer

 

Easy Adeniran is a lecturer in the Business Management Department at Manchester International College, where he currently teaches both the postgraduate and undergraduates courses. He has worked in academia for over ten years ranging from secondary, colleges and university levels both within and outside the United Kingdom with over ten published journal articles and co-author two textbooks. He received a B.Tech (Pure & Applied Mathematics) and M.Tech (Applied Mathematics) from Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology, Nigeria, a PgD from the School of Information Risk Management, London (Information and Security Assurance) and MSc from the University of Greenwich, London (Computer Security & Audit).

Easy is a facilitator of courses in information technology including information management and governance; information security management and compliance; information systems audit; business continuity and disaster recovery; and information risk management. He has experience in corporate IT/IS training and consultancy, British Computer Society courses up to professional graduate levels. Easy is a keen researcher in the areas of business management, information security, audit, governance, and compliance.

     
Margaret Howarth
Lecturer
 

Margaret Howarth is an experienced educational professional with experience of teaching subjects including Sociology and Law; Sociology and Law; GCSE Sociology and Skills for Life numeracy and literacy. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Basic Skills Policy and Practice and also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Law, plus a PGCE with a numeracy specialism and a City & Guilds Level 4 Literacy. Her professional research studies include: Stepfamily Arrangements in Contemporary British Society and The Prison Education Mirage. Prior to joining the Business Management team in Manchester International College she has been responsible for the delivery of Skills for Life and Family Learning programmes in Offender Learning. She also holds a sociology teaching position at Hopwood Hall College in Middleton.

     
Susantha Udagedara
Lecturer
 

Susantha Udagedara joined Manchester International College in March 2011, having previously worked at the University of Kelaniya, Faculty of Management and University of Salford as Lecturer of Organisational Behaviour and Strategic Management. He is an experienced industrialist/academic with many publications to his name. His research interests include organisation culture and innovations, strategic leadership, change management and organisational systems design. He holds a MBA and a first class degree in Business Management and currently doing his PhD at the University of Salford
