This course comprises one core and three optional modules:

• Professional Issues in IS Practice (core)
• Computer Network (optional)
• Database Systems (optional)
• Principles of Internet Technologies (optional)
• IT Project Management (optional)
• IT Service Management (optional)
• Object Orientated Programming (optional)
• Software Engineering (optional)
• Systems Analysis (optional)
• Systems Design (optional)
• Principles of User Interface Design (optional)

Students will attend lectures, tutorials, seminars and group study sessions at the college. In addition, it is expected that at least 2 hours each day will be spent in private studies. Classes will vary and will include class-based instruction; self-study using computer assisted learning strategies, writing assessments and practical work in the labs.

The applicants are expected to have passed the BCS Certificate in IT Systems.

Successful candidates will be eligible for admission to the Graduate Diploma in IT (which is equivalent to BSc Honours in IT).
