PgD in Strategic Business IT leading to MSc


This post graduate Diploma qualification extends your knowledge of IT further and prepares you for the demanding world of Business Management.

This program offers students a strategic and holistic perspective of IT, Information systems and computing application in ?real-life? business and enterprises.


Modules
The programme has four modules

• Research in Information Technology
• Project Management
• Strategic Information Systems Analysis
• Enterprise software & Business Infrastructure
Assessment/Examination
The qualification will be assessed by a combination of internally marked assignments and externally marked examinations (held every March & September)
Certification

Upon completion, the student will be awarded Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Business IT (UK-NQF Level 7) by the National Computing Centre (NCC)


Course Structure

Students will attend 3 hours lectures and 2 hours tutorials/seminars twice a week. In addition, it is expected that at least 2 hours each day will be spent in private studies. Classes will vary and will include class-based instruction; self-study using computer assisted learning strategies, writing assessments and practical work in the labs.

 
Entry Requirements

• UK Bachelor?s honours degree (or overseas equivalent) OR
• Non-IT degree but three year?s work experience in IT environment.
• For applicants whose educational medium is not English, a level of IELTS 6.5 /TOEFL 550 or equivalent or NCC placement test pass is required

 
Course Fees
£5000 per year
Duration of Course

• 1 academic year
• 15 hours per week of organised study time at the college

Holders of the Postgraduate Diploma are able to proceed to
• University of Gloucestershire/Greenwich/Huddersfield
• Post Study Work Visa (following completion of masters)
