SUMMER PROGRAMME

Course description:

  • 16 study hours per week (Mon-Thurs /09.00 – 13:15*) with short breaks.
  • *Times are subject to change

  • The Summer Programme combines General English, afternoon activities on Wednesdays and weekly excursions on a Friday.
  • Our General English classes are divided into three blocks of grammar and vocabulary, reading and writing and listening and speaking to ensure exposure to all skills required to use English more confidently during your stay in the UK. Each block is taught by a different teacher to ensure students are engaged thorough different teaching methods and exposed to different accents. We place emphasis on learner autonomy and encourage students to do their homework regularly, use our self-study resources and to find new ways of taking responsibility for their own learning.

  • Combines use of a course book, authentic material and use of technology.
  • This course can be offered to students at Elementary level (CEFR A2) through to Advanced level (CEFR C2) - subject to demand.
  • Maximum class size 15
  • Minimum age 16

Entry requirements:

  • International students outside the EU/EEA require  CEFR Level B1 in English (this is the equivalent of IELTS 4.5).

  • 20.5 study hours per week (Mon/Tues 09:00 – 15:30)
  •  (Wed 09:00 – 13:15) (Thurs 09:00 – 15:30) with short breaks.

  • The Summer Programme PLUS combines General English with an Elective summer course of your choice (see elective summer courses), afternoon activities on Wednesdays and weekly excursions on Fridays.
  • Combines use of a course book, authentic material and technology.
  • This course can be offered to students at Elementary level (CEFR A2) through to Advanced level (CEFR C2) - subject to demand.
  • Maximum class size 15
  • Minimum age 16

Course description:

  • 4.5  hours per week of study  (Mon/Tues 14:00-15:30) (Thurs 14:00-15:30)

                 *Times are subject to change

  • The Conversation class ensures exposure and practice of the skills and language required to become more confident to successfully communicate in conversation. It is ideal for students who want to participate in group discussions, debates and to practise their speaking skills in general.
  • Use of authentic material and use of technology.
  • This course can be offered to Pre-Intermediate (CEFR A2) through to Advanced (CEFR C2) - subject to demand.
  • Maximum class size 15
  • Minimum age 16

  • International students outside the EU/EEA require  CEFR Level B1 in English (this is the equivalent of IELTS 4.5).

Course description:

  • The Cultural Studies class ensures exposure to all skills required to use English more confidently during your stay in the UK and to have a more in-depth understanding of culture in the UK as well as discussion of other international cultures.
  • Use of authentic material and technology.
  • This course can be offered to students at Pre-Intermediate level (CEFR B1) through to Advanced level (CEFR C2) - subject to demand.
  • Maximum class size 15
  • Minimum age 16

Entry requirements:

  • International students outside the EU/EEA require CEFR Level B1 in English (this is the equivalent of IELTS 4.5).

Course description:

                  *Times are subject to change

  • The one to one class is tailor-made to meet the student’s needs.
  • One to one classes may include General English, ESP, examination preparation or simply conversation. The course is designed after assessment and analysis of the individual to ensure their needs are met.

  • This course can be offered to students at Elementary level (CEFR A2) through to Advanced level (CEFR C2) - subject to demand.
  • Maximum class size 15
  • Minimum age 16
