This course is aimed at students looking
for undergraduate entry onto an International IT degree pathway.
The course blends the best in technical communication and
business skills to create well rounded IT professionals.

The course comprises 4 compulsory modules:
- Computer Technology - comprising architecture, storage
systems, data flows, operating systems, networks,
internet and multimedia.
- Systems Development - comprising life-cycle models, software
design, languages, computer mathematics and testing.
- Business Organisation - comprising Types, Functional Areas,
Information Systems, Security, Organisation and Management.
- Business Communication - comprising Information manipulation,
Interviews, Written Communications, Group Work, Meetings
and Presentations.
And also 4 elective modules, which can be one of the
following:
- Computer Technical
Support - comprising the full CompTia
A+ and Network+ courses. Candidates may choose to
sit for exams and obtain independent certificates
with this module.
- Computer Programming - comprising programming methods,
Java and VB.Net.
- Internet and Multimedia - comprising developing websites for
multimedia.
- eCommerce - eCommerce fundamentals and designing websites for
eCommerce.
- Computerised Accounting - including use of Sage
Four Practical Projects designed to enable students
to apply their knowledge is included in the programme.
All modules are 120 hours long each and the Practical
Projects are 35 hours each. |

| Diploma awarded by NCC Education and
recognised by several universities in UK as equivalent
to the first year of a BSc Computing course. |

| Entry
Requirements |
Applicants must have one 'A' Level or equivalent,
or have completed a University Foundation Course or
mature students (21+) must be able to demonstrate two
year's work experience. For applicants whose educational
medium is not English, a level of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
is required. |

| Duration |
1 academic year
20 hours per week organised study at the training
centre
Students will attend classes for 4 hours each day from
9am to 2 pm Monday to Wednesday and from 2pm to 6pm on Thursday and Friday. In addition, it is
expected that at least 2 hours each day will be spent
in private studies. Classes will vary and will include
class-based instruction, self-study using computer assisted
learning strategies, writing assessments and practical
work in the labs. |
